Karpathy built HackerTube entirely through Claude Code chat at Medium effort

For HackerTube, Karpathy used the Claude Code Mac desktop app with Opus set to Medium effort by default, conversing with Claude to do virtually all the work — only manually handling the Google Cloud API, VPS and domain. A project that once took weeks now takes a weekend of chat rounds.
