Pando fetch design: packfile links plus cross-reader reuse for CDN-like performance
OpenAIDevs · x · 2026-11-03
OpenAI explains Pando's fetch flow: the Git client tells Pando which commits it has and wants, and Pando returns links to stored packfiles covering the gap, including missing branch dependencies. Packfiles may contain objects the client already has, but reusing them across many readers gives CDN-like performance.
