teortaxesTex · x · 2026-11-03
A shared table of OpenRouter usage stats shows DeepSeek growing 14.1x total (+12.2% weekly, 4.5x quarterly) from May 11 to Oct 19 — roughly 390x annualized — while the entire OpenRouter platform grew 7.0x (80x annualized). Over a longer window, DeepSeek went from 0.37T tokens/week (6.2% of 6T) in December to 60T, about 162x in 46 weeks. The poster quips that such growth obviously can't continue — 'and yet, it must keep going,' pointing at exponential inference demand as the industry's load-bearing assumption.
