Browser agents rarely fail at reasoning — modals, focus rendering and silent save failures break them

A developer building browser agents for real tasks (forms, portals, booking, posting) shares that the model picking the right next step is rarely the failure point anymore. What actually breaks: modals/cookie banners covering target buttons; pages that only render input boxes when the tab has focus, so background tabs see nothing; sign-in walls appearing mid-task; and the worst case — tasks that report "success" while nothing was actually saved. Their fix: re-read the page after every action instead of trusting the click.
