Kyunghyun Cho launches Ortet, a full-stack frontier AI lab arguing 'AI can't engineer medicine'
kchonyc · x · 2026-11-03
NYU professor and Ortet CEO Kyunghyun Cho argued at Endpoints' AI Day that "AI can engineer molecules, but it cannot engineer medicine" — without systems to put novel medicines into use, outputs don't matter. Ortet positions itself as a frontier AI lab for health: building its own compute, data infrastructure and models that fuse biological, clinical and operational data into an Ortet Health Model, predicting individual-level outcomes across life sciences, care delivery and administration. The company is hiring.
