Palantir's Karp: The US-China AI Race Is Defying Both Countries' Stereotypes
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-11-03
Palantir CEO Alex Karp discussed the US-China AI race in an interview. A practitioner of Chen Tai Chi for 13-14 years under a master who trained with the Grandmaster, he calls himself a high-level practitioner of one of Chinese culture's great treasures.
Karp noted the classic caricatures: Americans as swashbuckling creative cowboys with weak execution, and China as the world's highest-IQ population but lacking creativity. The interesting thing about the AI revolution, he argues, is that these caricatures are proving wrong for both countries.
