DeepSeek's super-agent explained: one router, many parallel coding workers
zainhas · x · 2026-11-03
The author dug into DeepSeek's open-source super-agent prototype and design essay (published Oct 31, 2026) from the Harness team and wrote a detailed architectural breakdown:
- Core idea: replace "one session per task, human carries the context" with "one always-on conversation plus many parallel workers" — a Router holds the cross-task picture and asks the human only when needed, so throughput is no longer capped by attention.
- Event triggers: the agent ingests events from IM group chats, email/calendar, GitHub issues and PR reviews, and CI.
- Architecture: the Router dispatches and remembers across tasks while multiple workers handle requests like bug fixes, refactors, flaky tests, and reviews in parallel.
The writeup includes full diagrams of the whole system, useful for anyone studying always-on personal agent implementations.
