Meituan LongCat's Three-Font Bug: A font Stack Built Only for Chinese Windows
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-11-03
teortaxesTex calls out Meituan's LongCat web app over broken font rendering, with a technical analysis attached: the page renders three different fonts because the message bubble's font stack only contains Chinese Windows fonts with no generic sans-serif fallback, so on a Mac abroad it collapses to Times New Roman. Alternative root cause: a self-hosted brand webfont with no fallback, blocked or geo-restricted. Classic "built for Chinese Windows, never tested elsewhere" bug.
