YC-backed Darwin Robotics debuts general-purpose robot technicians for data centers
ycombinator · x · 2026-11-03
Darwin Robotics launched with backing from Y Combinator and its cofounders, targeting general-purpose robot technicians for data centers. The pitch: AI compute is scaling fast, but assembling servers, running cables, commissioning and maintaining hardware still takes massive physical labor. Instead of explicit programming, the robots learn complex physical tasks from human demonstrations and improve through real-world deployment. An early demo shows Darwin performing learned cable manipulation on a server rack, and the team is recruiting data center operators as partners.
