12-Year DeepMind Veteran Departs for DiscoLoop Alongside Jeff Dean and Oriol Vinyals

A Google DeepMind researcher (@arkitus) who joined nearly 12 years ago "to understand intelligence and build AGI" announced his last day, saying "we now know how to build AGI, even if we don't fully understand it yet."
Next week he joins @DiscoLoopAI with Jeff Dean, Oriol Vinyals, Sanjay Ghemawat and Quoc Le, aiming the effort at "the discoveries the world needs most" — continuing the wave of Google-core talent moving to the new AI lab.
