RL researcher Marlos Machado named in Edmonton's Top 40 Under 40

Marlos Cholodovskis Machado — research scientist, Amii Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair — was named in Edify Edmonton's Top 40 Under 40 (2026) for shaping key research questions and empirical practices in reinforcement learning. He left a small Brazilian town for a PhD at the University of Alberta in 2013 and has been part of the local AI community since finishing in 2019.
