RSync25 · x · 2026-11-03
According to Rand Group research compiling Grey Zone Europe data, hackers attacked supermarket refrigeration systems across Europe in Oct–Nov 2026: 700 stores affected in France (first reported Oct 12), 75 in Belgium, 17+ businesses in the Netherlands, at least 15 in Sweden, 13 in Ireland, at least 1 in Estonia, unknown numbers in Luxembourg, and unverified reports in Finland.
The attacks remotely shut down supermarket fridges, and Brussels is drafting a 400-page directive on refrigeration security.
