ahmadnawaz13 · ghdev · 2026-11-02
A new issue (#58911) on openai/codex reports that a ChatGPT Plus subscriber on Windows frequently gets "Selected model is at capacity" errors while coding with Codex — sometimes several times in a row, multiple times daily, interrupting active development sessions.
The report includes full reproduction steps and asks OpenAI to investigate possible backend routing or model availability problems and to add automatic retries or a fallback mechanism. The issue is tagged bug/rate-limits and has 5 comments so far.
