Fashion models looked AI-proof on paper — but AI gutted the whole agency around them

A case shared by Molly Kinder exposes a blind spot in AI job-impact forecasting: a modeling agency owner foresaw AI replacing catalog shoots long before it happened, even though OpenAI exposure data showed fashion models as barely "exposed" — models can't use ChatGPT to speed up their tasks.
Ronnie Chatterji draws the key lesson: exposure measures only check whether AI can perform a job's own tasks, but when AI replaces one part of a production process, demand shifts for all surrounding jobs — stylists, makeup artists, photographers, lighting techs — even those AI can't do directly. He calls for detecting these indirect effects early.
