Kitsune: open-source MCP server that shares your Firefox with a coding agent
Sad-Interview9085 · reddit · 2026-11-02
The author released Kitsune, a free MIT-licensed MCP server that connects Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or any MCP client to your existing Firefox, Zen, or LibreWolf browser via an extension and a local bridge — reusing your current logins, no separate Chromium browser needed. The focus is human-agent co-browsing: agent tabs open in the background, writes to the tab you're actively using are held, and there are read-only and draft modes (though typing into a site can still trigger autosave). In the demo, Claude Code researches Tokyo weekend flights and routes via Google Flights and Maps in background tabs without taking focus or booking anything. Caveats: OS clicks and site popups can still affect focus; it doesn't prevent prompt injection (use a dedicated profile); page content read by the agent goes to your model provider.
