xAI retires grok-imagine-image-quality, redirects calls to grok-imagine-image-2.0 at low
emmanuelvivier · x · 2026-11-02
Effective November 2, 2026, xAI retired the grok-imagine-image-quality slug; requests are now served by grok-imagine-image-2.0 with quality set to "low." The slug still resolves (no code breakage), response shapes are unchanged, and the replacement is $0.01/image cheaper at every resolution. grok-imagine-image 1.0 is unaffected.
