ChatGPT adds card and device limits — paying for multiple subscriptions can get you locked out
CtrlAltDwayne · x · 2026-11-02
OpenAI is tightening ChatGPT with new card and device limits: linking too many subscriptions to one payment card or device blocks new ones, with per-device paid account caps showing "Device limit reached." Limits cover Go, Plus, Pro 100/200/500; free and Business/Enterprise/Edu plans don't count, and logging out doesn't free up a slot. Critics mock the model where paying for multiple subscriptions can get you banned.
