Users report Astra 6 quality collapse: endless apologizing loops, worse than models from a year ago

Reddit user Icy-Way3920 reports Astra 6 has degraded dramatically: regardless of context size, task, or reasoning temp, it performs closer to a year-old model than Opus 5.5-class systems.
Symptoms include endless 'apologizing loops' (sometimes apologizing before doing anything), stopping instead of asking for what it needs (e.g., a login), repeatedly claiming tasks are unresolved without doing them, and parroting 'you are right.' The user switched to ChatGPT Plus after hitting Claude's weekly limits to finish mostly-complete tasks — and Astra couldn't even get those started.
