The 2nd AAAI workshop "Neuro for AI & AI for Neuro: Towards Multi-Modal Natural Intelligence" is open for submissions, due November 20, with the event held February 22-23, 2027 in Montréal, Canada.
- Accepts archival full papers and non-archival short papers via OpenReview.
- Two-way theme: Neuro→AI translates cortical microcircuit principles (E-I balance, sparse modular coding, dendritic nonlinearities) into efficient multimodal architectures; AI→Neuro covers AI-driven analysis of calcium imaging, electrophysiology and behavior data.
- New lens this edition: context-dependent plasticity in brains as inspiration for continual learning and reduced forgetting in foundation models.
- Invited speakers include Blake Richards, Doina Precup, Guillaume Bellec, Ida Momennejad, and Paul Cisek.
A direct submission opportunity for researchers at the neuroscience-AI intersection.
