Dev educator Matt Pocock: AI bot replies on X are so bad he hunts for real humans now
Arindam_1729 · x · 2026-11-02
Matt Pocock, the well-known TypeScript educator, complained that AI replies on X are "astonishingly bad" — he no longer checks notifications hoping for interesting hallway-track discussions, and instead searches for profile pictures of people he knows aren't bots, which are getting harder to spot. A replier joked about commenting just to prove they're not a bot. A small but telling anecdote about how AI-generated content is degrading discussion on social platforms.
