"Most people never mastered Excel — AI adoption will follow the same path"
Inner-Schedule8998 · reddit · 2026-11-02
A Reddit poster draws an unflattering analogy: for decades we've had powerful computing, open-source databases, RDBMS and Hadoop, yet 99% of office users remain basic Excel users. By the same logic, AI — however capable — will go underused by most people, making it "overrated" at the adoption level: most people simply don't need it. A classic tech-adoption-gap argument likely to spark debate.
