Show HN: HackerBooks indexes 16.5k books recommended on HN, built almost entirely by Claude
roansh · hn · 2026-11-01
Inspired by Karpathy's HackerTube, developer roansh built HackerBooks with Claude Opus 5.5: 16.5k books that at least two different HN commenters mentioned from 2007 to now, each linked back to the comments that cited it. The data is downloadable, and the author notes the counting is imperfect (praise and criticism both count). Claude wrote nearly all the code including the data pipeline; the author steered and made decisions.
