Vercel's interactive Geist font specimen site: Swiss-style typography lab
evilrabbit_ · x · 2026-11-01
Abduzeedo profiles Vercel's interactive specimen site for the Geist typeface family. Instead of static PDFs or gratuitous motion, the site turns the browser into a drafting table: users can poke at letterforms, test weight transitions, and inspect cap height and baseline metrics live. Built with Basement Studio from a monospace foundation, Geist spans Sans, Serif, Mono, and Pixel variants across nine weights each, adapting Swiss International Style heritage for modern software interfaces with optical clarity at dense code-editor sizes.
