Temple wearable beats five flagship trackers on heart-rate accuracy in new study
DrDatta_AIIMS · x · 2026-11-01
Deepinder Goyal's Temple released a white paper comparing its temple-mounted sensor against Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Garmin, WHOOP and Fitbit. All wrist-based devices showed rising heart-rate error in high-intensity Zones 4-5, while Temple posted the lowest beat-to-beat error across rest and all zones. A physician commenter welcomed future independent validation, questioning whether manufacturer-funded studies can publish negative results, and expects responses from Oura, Garmin, WHOOP and Apple.
