Dev runs an agent that tracks CVEs and autonomously patches systems

Developer Aniket Maurya shares that his team runs an agent monitoring CVE feeds from cve.now and autonomously patching their systems.
Its first target: CVE-2025-1974, an unauthenticated remote code execution bug in the Kubernetes ingress-nginx admission controller (CVSS 9.8, EPSS 0.99). It affects ingress-nginx up to 1.11.4 and 1.12.0 pre-releases, fixed in 1.11.5 and 1.12.1. Public exploit code exists (2 on Exploit-DB, 25 GitHub PoCs, 1 Nuclei template), and CISA rates it automatable with total technical impact—attackers with pod network access can read Secrets, including cluster-wide ones in default installs.
A concrete example of an agent-driven vulnerability response workflow: subscribe to intel, assess impact, patch automatically.
