Junction Launches Two-Week All-Expense-Paid Chip Fab Retreat in Bangalore to Fast-Track India's Semiconductor Talent
arpitingle · x · 2026-11-01
The Junction podcast launches a conversation with Hacker Fab India and Lagrange Point on speed-running India's semiconductor tech tree: this December, students from across India will be flown to Bangalore for a two-week fabrication retreat where they build equipment, design chips, and engineer processes themselves.
India still needs thousands of semiconductor engineers, but the ecosystem to produce them isn't mature yet — so the bet is training engineers before fabs actually arrive. Topics covered include where Hacker Fab came from, how to build tools and know-how locally, what Junction looks like, and why two weeks is just a starting point.
Flights, accommodation, and project expenses are all covered; applications are open.
