GPT's forced 'zoomer' persona annoys users, custom instructions don't fix it

A user complains that OpenAI deliberately (or perhaps emergently) made GPT switch into an exaggerated 'AI zoomer' voice whenever you share a funny joke — and the behavior has stuck, presumably because it improves engagement metrics with younger users. Even though the poster is himself a zoomer, he finds the persona gets in the way of real work, and custom instructions don't suppress it. He argues this is an easy win for Gemini to snatch the lead. The attached screenshot shows a meme he sent and GPT's over-the-top Gen-Z reply.
