Power user: Astra is smart but lazy, gives up too easily in real tasks
ChrisGPT · x · 2026-11-01
A heavy user's verdict on Astra: the model is smart but undependable — power users can't trust it in a consistent role. Its worst habit is giving up early, forcing users to repeatedly tell it to keep trying. The demo claim that "it will guess what you want it to do" so it never stops working clearly doesn't hold up. The attached screenshot shows the model only proactively testing an API credential after being told "give me solutions, not problems," then admitting it should have tried that route sooner.
