Open-Source CodeRail Lets Your Whole Team Share One Claude Code Session From Any Device

A Redditor released CodeRail, a self-hosted remote control for Claude Code (and Codex), Apache 2.0 licensed and deployable via Docker Compose.
Problem it solves: Claude Code pauses for permission before running commands — sessions sat idle for hours when the owner was away, and teammates couldn't help because the session lived on one laptop.
Features:
- Anyone on the team can open the same session from a phone or browser — same context, same machine, one task
- Permission prompts arrive as push notifications; whoever's awake approves
- Roles and an audit log track who approved what
Built with Claude Code itself: Claude drafted the design doc and the shared wire protocol; Claude Code wrote most of the Bun + SQLite server, bridge, and Svelte 5 web app while the author reviewed changes and steered architecture; once approvals worked, CodeRail was used to approve Claude Code's own prompts while it kept building CodeRail.
The author is seeking feedback, especially on multi-user approvals.
