David Park (@Poita), creator of MCP (Model Context Protocol), announced his last day at Anthropic. He expressed pride in MCP's meteoric industry adoption and the company's mission. He will continue as an MCP core maintainer, teased 'all the extensions we have coming,' and plans to take a break and work on personal projects. Community tributes call MCP one of the key building blocks that made general-purpose agents possible.
