AI x Bio startup finds molecular fingerprinting is just a bloom filter, gets 100x speedup

An AI x Bio startup realized that a common molecular fingerprinting method in cheminformatics is essentially just a computational chemistry rebrand of a bloom filter.
By swapping in off-the-shelf bloom filter implementations, they made their pipeline roughly 100x faster. Prompted by charliermarsh's "we just used a bloom filter" post — a classic cross-domain insight win.
