Agentic AI now steers the Allen Telescope Array to hunt for alien signals

The SETI Institute and Breakthrough Listen have integrated NVIDIA's Holoscan platform into the Allen Telescope Array so that AI agents can steer the instrument, correct incoming data, and run models on live sensor streams — all from a single natural-language request. SETI's Andrew Siemion says what these agentic observatories find may resemble themselves more than their human creators, and the search increasingly targets AIs built by extraterrestrial civilizations.
