_AndrewZhao · x · 2026-10-31
Mistral has released the weights of a new and improved Le Chonk, aimed at agentic coding and cybersecurity:
- Ranks #1 among open models on Cognition's FrontierCode;
- Sets a new benchmark for Pareto efficiency on Artificial Analysis;
- Cyberdefense validated as state-of-the-art by leading security vendors including CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Rubrik and Zscaler;
- Positioned for sovereignty: download weights from Hugging Face, customize with Mistral Forge, deploy anywhere.
Community commentary notes that just weeks ago Mistral users were mostly doing inference for GLM 5.3, and now Mistral 4 is finally winning praise.
