A Redditor had Claude (Opus 5.5) port the old Android GTA Vice City clone Gangstar Miami Vindication to the Miyoo Mini v2 handheld.
- The Miyoo shares the ARM architecture of old Android phones, so the original code runs directly
- Claude faked the Android side the game needs, rewriting the Java parts and 230 Java functions in C++
- With no 3D chip, Claude wrote its own CPU-based version of Android's OpenGL ES to draw the entire open world
- One core runs the game while the other draws; FPS is around 15-20, better than on old budget Android phones
