Grok Bot snags month-ahead SF reservations by watching for cancellations
mattyp · x · 2026-10-31
mattyp demoed using Grok Bot to monitor booking systems for SF's popular Onsen bathhouse and Izakaya Rintaro every 15 minutes. The bot caught a 2:00pm Saturday bathhouse slot and a 5:45pm courtyard table—openings that normally require a month's advance booking—pinged him and completed the $100 prepaid booking automatically. He clarifies he only tracked cancellations, not reselling sold-out slots; such automation was possible with scripts before, but AI makes it accessible to anyone.
