Rex Claude skill orchestrates multiple Claude Code sessions across Rex terminal panes

Developer daniavila7 released Rex Claude, a Claude Code skill that controls Rex (Superlogical's terminal multiplexer) panes and tabs: it can open new panes, launch independent Claude Code child sessions, and coordinate them from a master session — exchanging instructions, monitoring progress, and detecting when a child finishes or needs attention.
Key details:
- Child sessions report state to Rex via the Program Status Protocol (OSC 7501): idle, working, done, blocked (permission/question/auth), error — so the skill knows exactly when a session is done instead of guessing from the screen.
- A helper script scripts/rex-claude.sh wraps the workflow; commands require REXSESSION, and launch supports target dir, labels, model flags (e.g. --model sonnet) and trust mode.
- Install: npx claude-code-templates@latest --skill productivity/rex-claude; requires claude and jq on PATH.
Jason Kneen notes his infinite app has had similar functionality for a long time.
