Wispr Flow ditches resumes after 2,000+ identical applications, hires via voice-built portfolios

Wispr Flow received 2,000+ job applications for its India growth team in one week — all over-polished PDF resumes that even their AI struggled to tell apart. So they changed the rules: no resumes allowed.
The new format (Oct 28 - Nov 4):
- Use Wispr Flow voice input to build a portfolio on Emergent (free credits provided)
- The subject is "you" — an interactive showcase of your risks taken, mistakes learned, and what you care about
- Submit the public portfolio link plus a video explaining what you built, why, and what voice added to the process
Prizes: a top-of-market role, a $3,000 grant for your most oddly specific work requirement, and a full-time pathway for interns. Their bet: more of you comes through when you speak than when you squeeze yourself into a standard resume.
