Andrew Carr, founder of robotics company Cartwheel, says the team is made up of artists whose animation work turns out to be immensely useful for robotics. At a recent company onsite, the team spent time doing "animation in real life" and made a fun video.
The post hints at a data/authoring angle for embodied robotics: animator motion-design skills transfer directly into robot motion generation and training.
