At Gray Area's 'Scaling Intelligence' AI art show in San Francisco, charlesirl (whose company Modal sponsored it) shared the scene of a robot flipping him off at the entrance.
The exhibit 00100 by Grayson Earle asks 'what if a robot learned to say no?' — from Fordist assembly lines to modern robotics, powerful few decide how hands and arms move, so the artist trained a robot arm in a little rebellion. The show features 11 new commissions by 13 artists exploring AI and large-scale cloud computing, open through the weekend.
