Gemini rolls out personal avatars so users can star in AI-generated images and videos
GeminiApp · x · 2026-10-31
Google's Gemini App announced personal avatars: record your face and voice once, then use your likeness in videos (Gemini Omni) and images (Nano Banana). New sharing lets friends tag each other in prompts to co-star in generated media, with granular friend-access controls. A companion update brings Lyria 3.5, the company's best-sounding music model, with genre/length/vocal-instrumental controls. Avatars require an 18+ personal Google account, are English-only, and are unavailable in the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK.
