Protocol Labs founder Juan Benet announced PLC Neurotech, a fund backing founders in BCIs, NeuroAI, and connectomics. He has invested in neurotech since 2021 and says the field now "feels like AI did in 2019."
Benet frames neurotech as humanity's next frontier: it already restores lost functions, could enhance human capabilities, and will reshape what it means to be human. His team also backs neuroAI efforts like Netholabs, arguing that "what we do in the next 10 years will determine how AI and humanity coexist."
