Anthropic renames Claude Max plans, drops 5-hour cap for verified $200 Ultra users
Arindam_1729 · x · 2026-10-31
Anthropic is renaming its Claude plans: Max 5x becomes Max (still $100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra (still $200/month). The key change: verified Ultra accounts no longer hit the 5-hour usage cap, effective today for most existing subscribers; newer accounts keep a temporary limit until verified to prevent fraud and abuse. Weekly limits remain unchanged—so longer single sessions, same weekly total. A direct win for Claude Code users running long agent sessions.
