Meta exec: Llama 3.2 was the first named AI model to run in space

Ahmad Al-Dahle of Meta revealed that Llama 3.2 was the first named model to run in space, back in April 2025. Hugging Face engineer Philipp Schmid responded saying he was surprised to have missed it and asked whether there was an article about it.
