After 4 years growing brain cells on electrodes, startup ships 0.5¢/sec video model mischief 1

BioComputingCo launched mischief 1, a video generation model born from four years of growing real brain cells on electrodes to study how neurons compute — then baking those findings into a model that runs on ordinary GPUs, with no cells in the product.
- Priced at $0.005/sec, claimed at least 5x faster than its base model and the cheapest image-to-video model on fal and OpenRouter; coming soon to AWS Marketplace.
- The pitch: your brain runs on 20 watts and learns from few examples; instead of bigger chips and gigawatt campuses, the team attacked AI video's compute hunger from the biology side.
