Open-source Stem Studio separates AI video audio into editable stems via ComfyUI
eraiozei · reddit · 2026-10-31
Built for the #OpenSourceHiggsfield competition, Stem Studio tackles a common AI video pain point: scenes come back with music even when you prompt for silence. The tool separates dialogue, music, and effects into editable layers, extracts targeted sounds, and offers a waveform timeline for editing and comparing results before exporting individual stems or a re-scored video.
- Runs on your own ComfyUI instance, available as a Windows desktop app or a ComfyUI node pack
- Demo video generated with Minimax H3; TTS via Omnivoice voice cloning
- Open-sourced on GitHub, with a deeper walkthrough video promised soon
