Anthropic renames Max plans to Max/Ultra and removes 5-hour cap for verified Ultra users
testingcatalog · x · 2026-10-31
Anthropic is renaming its Claude plans: Max 5x becomes Max ($100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra ($200/month) — no action needed for subscribers.
More substantively, the 5-hour usage limit is being removed for verified Ultra accounts starting today with most existing subscribers; newer accounts keep a temporary limit until verified, as a fraud/abuse safeguard. The community is already joking about a future "Mega" tier.
