Creative Strategies' Ben Bajarin breaks down MediaTek's Q3 2026 earnings: its first data center AI accelerator shipped in September, and the Q4 revenue target for the program was raised from $2B+ to $2.5B — roughly 36-38% of guided quarterly revenue.
Management now aims for the high end of its $16B 2027 target, with a second-generation chip on schedule for volume production in Q1 2028. Custom silicon is becoming a material revenue stream beyond the established AI chip suppliers.
