Anthropic removes 5-hour limit for $200 Claude Ultra, renames Max plans
kimmonismus · x · 2026-10-31
Anthropic announced it is renaming its Max plans: Max 5x becomes Max ($100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra ($200/month), with no action needed from existing subscribers.
It is also removing the 5-hour usage limit for verified Ultra accounts starting today, effective immediately for most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until verified, as an anti-fraud measure, and users will get an email once the limit is lifted. Weekly limits remain unchanged.
