Anthropic has renamed its Claude plans: Max 5x becomes Max ($100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra ($200/month), with no action needed from subscribers.
Key changes:
- 5-hour limit removed for verified Ultra accounts starting today; newer accounts keep a temporary limit until verified as a fraud-prevention measure. Weekly limits stay unchanged.
- API credits increased: Ultra now includes $200/month in platform API credits (up from $100), Max includes $100/month.
- Pro remains $17/month billed annually ($200 upfront) or $20 monthly.
The change was confirmed and amplified by bcherny, noting verified Ultra users no longer face the 5-hour cap.
