Product designer with zero game dev experience built her portfolio as a cozy multiplayer village with Claude

A SaaS product designer with 13 years of experience replaced her case-study grid with a walkable multiplayer village: each building opens a project, plus a letter mailbox, guestbook, bee-catching minigame with a public leaderboard, real-time visitors, and dynamic seasons and day/night cycles. Split: she did concept, UI, art direction and feature ideas; Claude Design made the art; Claude Code wrote everything as vanilla JS canvas in a single HTML file with Supabase for guestbook/scores/live visitors, hosted on Netlify. What worked: writing engineer-grade specs with exact sizes, states and edge cases, implementing straight from Figma, and constant phone testing with screenshots.
